Teresa Sam won the first Miss Vietnam United
Kingdom beauty contest held in London Sunday,
earning a ticket to the upcoming Miss Vietnam
World pageant in Vietnam.
The second and third places were won
respectively by Ngo Thi Phuong Lan, an
international relations student in Switzerland,
and Sonia Thuy Vi Bui. They too will join Teresa
at the Miss Vietnam World pageant.
The contest was organized by Tri Thuc Viet
Magazine at The O2 (formerly the Millennium
Dome).
The 30 contestants
included overseas Vietnamese living in the UK,
and Vietnamese students studying in the
UK, France, Germany, and Switzerland. Though
some of them could not speak Vietnamese
fluently, they had to answer in that language. |
